Freight Policy
Free Delivery Zone: Areas covered are Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, and Richmond Hill.
Delivery will be free within the Free Delivery Zone for orders equal to or over $500 (before taxes). Orders under $500 will be charged at 15% of the order, with a minimum shipping & handling charge of $20.00 that will be added to your invoice. Free shipping does not apply to furniture, larger items, or items marked with a truck symbol . These will be charged at 18% of the cost of these items.
Orders shipped outside the Free Delivery Zone will be subject to a 15% shipping charge. A freight quote will be sent for orders with large items that are marked with a truck symbol . Orders going to remote areas or areas not accessible by ground transport will be subject to extra freight charges. For bulk orders, a reduced shipping cost may be offered. Please ask us for a quote.
Freight carriers will only deliver to the front or back door of the location. If items have to be brought to a classroom or to an area that is difficult to access, such the basement or second floor, please let customer service know at the time of placing your order. There may be extra freight charges that the carrier would charge and we would be happy to quote you for this.
Orders with all items in stock will be shipped within 3-5 business days. We prefer to ship orders that are 100% complete. If you need partial orders to be shipped earlier, please note that it may incur additional shipping charges. Some furniture items are made to order by the manufacturer, and are not warehoused at Sonsuh. These items will take longer to arrive. Customers with backordered products will be notified with the length of time it will take to receive these items.
Backorders under $25.00 will be cancelled.
Receiving
All items leaving our warehouse are quality checked by our warehouse staff. When receiving an order, please check the number of cartons received and note any damages before signing for the shipment. If a damage claim needs to be made, please return all original packaging. Packaging is required to complete a claim. Claim requests must be made within 2 days of receiving your shipment. Delays in reporting a damage claim may result in the carrier refusing to pay the claim.
