Unlike many light centers, this light panel is removable, allowing it to be used in different areas of the classroom. Built-in brackets support the light panel, and when the light panel is removed, the opening can be covered with the included lid. This creates a usable surface for continued play—either the smooth tabletop side or the construction brick side. The lid can also be used elsewhere in the classroom, giving children the freedom to build on the floor or at another table while the light table is in use. When not needed, it slides neatly into a built-in storage shelf, making it easy to rotate learning centers throughout the day.
